1 RUSHAWAY NOMINATED FOR RICH ARLINGTON CLASSIC j I- - Rushaway, A. G. Tarns "iron hoss," which recently won the Illinois and Latonia Derbys with only an overnight pullman jump between them, has been nominated for the 0,000 Classic at Arlington Park, officials of Chicagos most important racing grounds announced Friday. Rushaway is now in Detroit and will be shipped directly to Chicago after his engagement in the Detroit Derby on Saturday. Tarn, ranking Canadian horseman, purchased Rushaway from Joseph E. Widener in one of the best "bargain deals" of the winter racing campaign. The Canadian gave Rushaways breeder 0,000 for the crack three-year-old and then went on to win the Texas, Illinois and Latonia Derbys with him. ; Gold Seeker, the only filly to start in the Kentucky Derby, is another recent nominee for the rich Arlington special for three-year-olds. After this miss had defeated Grand Slam and other highly regarded members of her division in the Chesapeake Stakes at . Havre de Grace, owner William du Pont of Foxcatcher Farms dispatched her to Church- ; ill Downs for the Derby. She met with trouble leaving the barrier and finished unplaced in the race.
