Apprentice rider Homer Derden will be out of the saddle for several months according to word reaching here. He suffered a broken bone in his foot in the final day of racing at Bculah Park. Matt Jordan, Columbus trainer, is minus a pair of two-year-olds. Danjoan bucked and has been turned out. Bobs Choice recently was gelded. Doug Hoffman, joint leader among trainers at Beulah Park, has been forced to retire the mare, Super Purchase, for several months due to recurrence of a foot injury.
