NORTHAMPTON INAUGURAL AKRON, Ohio, June 13. C. Sanborns Granbury, nicely rated by jockey J. Long, showed the way by "a rather comfortable margin throughout the running of the Inaugural Handicap, feature offering of the initial days racing at Northampton Park i this afternoon. Bubble Up was always in second position, which he retained by a neck from Carus Clarus in a driving finish. Ideal conditions prevailed and a near capacity crowd of 5,000 turned out to witness the sport. Mayor Holcombe, The Nile and Irenes Bob all led throughout to win their respective races, but the latter two were hard pressed at the end.
