BELLE MYSTERY raced to the front at once and, opening up a good lead while making the pace, saved ground where possible and held BUBBLER at the end. BUBBLER was never far from the pace and staged a game run in the stretch, but pulled up slightly lame. EIGHTH POLE was permitted to race beyond the middle of the track in the stretch, closed well and could not get up, but might have won under competent handling. BUGABOO lost ground at the first turn, was rushed into the lead in the back stretch, saved ground thereafter, but tired in the final drive. TEENY WEENY was outrun. FANDAN broke slowly.
