BRIGADE B., away very slowly and outrun for three-eighths, was put to strong urging in the stretch and closed with a rush. SILENT DON took command at once, set a good pace under steadying restraint, but tired when put to pressure. NATALIE MAE, in close quarters early, moved up fast after being sent to the inside entering the stretch, but tired in the last stages WHIZZ JAMES quit. CATCH FLY raced wide. IDA KING quit after improving her position. MYNAH showed a dull effort. BLIGHTED HOPES quit. HEREWARD came over sharply at the first turn, was knocked off stride and showed nothing thereafter. FLOWER DAY, far back for three-quarters, made up ground in the drive. PARAWICK raced evenly. MORRIS R. besan from outside of the stalls and quit badly after offering a bold bid midway of the stretch. The latter, taken back repeatedly, was forced to the outside for racing room, moved up fast in the stretch and just failed to get up. ALL AGOG, under good handling trom the start, took command nearing the final quarter, was unable to draw clear and tired in the final eichth. HOLLYROOD, well handled and away fastest of all, was saved when outrun, moved up under light urging, responded fast when taking the command, swung wide entering the stretch, responded to stronger urging in the last stages and withstood SPARTA. The latter rushed into a clear lead early, set a fast pace under light urging, gave way to its stablemate, came to the inside for the drive and held on gamely. TATTERDEMALION, outrun for five-eighths, lost ground when improving his position and closed with a rush. TUGBOAT FRANK, unable to improve his position, racing forward under strong pressure, was sent through the field for the drive and finished strongest of all. SPLIT SECOND, a strong factor from the start, was jostled back at the far turn, was sent to the inside for the drive dnd held on well. RUSHAWAY, fractious before the start, jumped into the air at the start, was used up in reaching contention from his outside position and tired after offering a bold bid nearing the final quarter. PAN TOY, always a factor and taken back when outrun, improved his position after three-quarters and held" on well. ILCHESTER, rushed into the lead, was put to strong urging when challenged, tired under pressure and should improve. GOOD POL1TIAN showed a good effort. MIDSHIPMAN was never a factor.
