IPSO FACTO, a contender from the start and forced to race wide, stood-strong pressure gamely in the final quarter and was up in the closing strides. BLACK BOTTLE displayed speed from the start, saved ground and held on fairly well. UVALDE, under light restraint early and forced back slightly soon after reaching the stretch, rallied with fine speed when clear near the end. SPURLIN showed speed, from the start, ncarcd the lead before swerving in the final eighth, then came again. MISS GRAVITY closed with a rush on the extreme outside. PECOS, taken back approaching the turn, could not get through in the stretch and may have been best. MASKILLO raced wide and did not respond to strong urging. Scratched 25255 Countess Rcigh, 108. MY SURPRISE, under light restraint for a half mile, held on well when under energetic riding thereafter. THE DARB lost ground and, closing strongly, outstayed HUEU. The latter also finished fast. I CENTENNIAL, racing well and a factor from the start, was taken back after starting to the inside soon bfter reaching the stretch, came to the outside of RICKEY ROO when closing well under pressure and was up in the closing strides. RICKEY ROO, away in motion and well rated in the early pacemaking, held on with good courage until reaching the last seventy yards, where he tired badly. SKY HAVEN, probably much ihe best and away poorly, improved his position nn the outside and swerved to the inside in the stretch. CHERAW gave an even performance. KOLEY BEY, sore, began slowly. SAILORS GIFT received a timid ride. GRATTAN was never a strong factor. MERRY FREDA worked out a mile in 1:44. DILWIN , showed early speed. NAUGHTY had speed from the start, appeared .through approaching the last eighth, ""but came again mildly. BUSHMASTER, taken back on the far turn and in close quarters in the stretch, finished well when clear. JOKESTER tired. The latter, unable to get through on the turn and slow to respond when clear in the stretch, came with a rush near the end.
