RICHARDS DEPARTS FOR EAST Ships Two Carloads of Horses to A. G. Vanderbilts Sagamore Farm at Glyndon, Md. LEXINGTON, Ky., June 23. Dr. C. Richards of New York left here this afternoon with two carloads of thoroughbreds lor Alfred G. Vanderbilts Sagamore Farm, Glyndon, Md. The shipment included eight yearling colts recently purchased by Dr. Richards for Mr. Vanderbilt. The others were mares and foals. "Six of the yearlings were purchased from persons who sell at Saratoga, and I was asked by them not to disclose the breeding in advance of the August sales," said Dr. Richards. "However, I am at liberty to say that I bought the bay colt by Victorian June Rose and the chestnut colt by Victorian Mormaw from Horatio Mason." At any rate they are all good-looking colts. The mares in the shipment are: .s1 Lawless Lady, by Mad Hatter- Ruth Law, and filly foal by Infinite. St Claire, by St. Germans Chiclin, and filly foal. Croya, by Master Charlie Lotus, and filly foal. Sunny Sal, by Sun Briar Salvolatile, and filly foal by Sickle. Ovalette, by Chicle Oval, and colt foal by Wise Counsellor. Rock Gold, by Bay DOr Needle Rock, and colt foal by Display. Shepherdess, by Royal Canopy Herd Girl. Hindu Queen, by Sickle Maharanee. Bodega, by Coventry Malmsy. Clifton Maid, by Ormondale Phantom Maid. Greenleight, by Snob II. Emerald Gem. Sure Thing, by Bunting Memesis. Rock Gold and her Display colt were recently purchased by Mr. Vanderbilt from W. T. "Fatty" Anderson. Another mare in the car was Janon Fishers Abstain, by Gay Crusader Abstention, by Sweeper. She was bred this year to Boatswain at Faraway Farm.
