CAPTAIN LOGAN, under slight restraint until straightened out in the back stretch, moved up gamely when called upon, took the lead approaching the lower turn, came on again after being headed bv EDGAR BOY and outgamcd the latter in a hard drive. EDGAR BOY, far back early, moved up on the outside with a rush on the lower turn, took a short lead in the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. BLUE FOAM took the load at the break, was under restraint while making the pace, saved ground on the lower turn and came on again in the stretch. LUCKY DAN showed some early speed, but tired badly in the last eighth. DISAPPROVAL showed a flash of early speed. DIXIE D. was never a contender. WESTKO was always far back. Overweight Dixie D., 2 pounds.
