MARYNELL IN GOOD WORK DETROIT, Mich., June 23. Marynell, Long Run Stables sparkling mare, which made an unsuccessful invasion of Kentucky and one of the leading eligibles for Saturdays ,000 added Pontchartarain Handicap, turned in a splendid trial for that mile and a sixteenth journey when she breezed a mile in 1:42 this morning. Under good restraint throughout,- she stepped the quarter in :243, the half mile in :49 and the three-quarters in 1:14. As a preparation for a long trial tomorrow, Stand Pat, one of the two eligibles named by E. F. Seagram and winner of the Wolverine Handicap, breezed three-eighths in :37 and Sir Jim James, one of the two three-year-old candidates, was breezed five-eighths in 1:03.
