The latter forced the pace for a half mile, took the lead and held on gamely, but could not withstand the winner. BONSALL was well up from the start, responded well to hard urging and showed a good effort. FLYING JUSTICE was away fast, took a slight lead quicklv. but tired after a half mil?. EPI WITCH was in close quarters in the early stases, gained slowly when clear and finished strongly. DESPERADO was rushed hard from the break, faltering in the last sixteenth. MILANDRA showed a good effort and made up some ground. RUDOLPH LAD was away slowly and lost ground racing wide. ANIMATE broke tardily; reached a contending position after a quarter and finished strongly. BONNIE PAN was blocked and forced back to last place at the far turn, gained steadily when taken to the outside and finished strongly. SCOBINA tired. HARD BOILED was in close quarters on the rail for most of the trip and showed a fine effort despite the interference. JOHN DOE displayed good speed from the start, took a slight lead quickly, then tired in the last thrce-sixtenths. IMA GREENOCK had no mishaps. TAKE IT EASY was eliminated early when forced back. ROYAL COUNTESS worked her way up steadily, came to tho inside and saved ground, but was no match for the winner. LADY T1CHNER began slowly, raced on the outside throughout and closed a big gap. EAST-TORT improved his position rapidly in the last three-sixteenths and finished with a rush. GIRLS CHANCE opened up a big lead quickly, set the pace for a half mile and tired badly thereafter.
