KEENELAND STAKES WEIGHTS McLennan Releases Assignments for New Lexington Track Fixtures Breeders Stakes Popular. ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 10. Charles J. McLennan, before boarding a plane for Lexington, Ky., where he Is racing secretary for the Keeneland Association, announced the weights for the Keen Handicap, to be run at Keeneland Thursday, October 15, and for the Ashland Stakes, to be run Saturday, October 17, and also for the Breeders Stakes, which will be decided Wednesday, October 21. McLennan, who also is racing secretary for the Texas Jockey Club, has been at Arlington Downs for the past week completing arrangements for the opening of the fall meeting of thirty-three days beginning October 22, and he plans to return to the Waggoner course after he gets the Keeneland Association meeting started.
