OPEN HOUSE AT ARLINGTON DOWNS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 10. With the loss of Lincoln Fields racing a number of the large stables there will ship at once to Arlington Downs, where most of the horses will be rested until, the start of the Texas Jockey Clubs fall meeting of thirty-three racing days, starting October 22. Some of the eastern sportsmen, racing now at Laurel and Jamaica, probably will stop off at Keene-land before coming on to Arlington Downs. With the scheduled arrival of many horses during the coming week, general manager Trav Daniel is planning to stage open houst on Sunday, October 18, when many of the thoroughbreds will be galloped for the edification of the visitors. Activities will commence at daybreak and continue through afternoon. Should Mike Hawkins, who presides over the loud speaker system, arrive in time he will man the mike and identify the thoroughbreds as they come on the track.
