Johnny Long- den was the star of the saddle, riding. thirty- J; nine winners, with Hightshoe next in line -with twenty-eight. Stevenson, Tucker and Seabo followed in the order named. Clyde Van Dusen headed the trainers, j; saddling sixteen winners. Closest to him came Codd, with twelve, Brusie, eleven, and ten each to Bieber and Tarn. - Total distribution to the horsemen j-amounted to 10,455, a daily average of 3,796.08.
