Good Goods will be raced in California next winter. Tommy Taylor will take nine horses owned by W. S. Kilmer to Santa Anita in addition to others that he trains for himself and: other clients. The horses owned by Mrs. Silas Mason will be retired after this meeting and shipped to the farm in Kentucky. They will be picked up and trained for the spring meeting at Belmont Park. Percy M. Pike said that he will offer at public vendue under the auspices of the Fasig-Tipton Company nine horses headed by Supply House. The sale will be held at Empire City on October 29. Jockey R. Kastner signed up with the Milky Way Farm Stable of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars. His contract was purchased at private terms recently. The book for the Arlington Downs meeting is in the secretarys office. The books for the Bowie, meeting are due shortly from the printers. Jockey George Rose arrived here and reported to Jimmy Stewart for whom he will ride. Celtic Legend and Guarded Queen arc looked upon by trainer Bob Smith, of the Brookmeade Stable, as Selima prospects and will be pointed for the Laurel fixture. W. C. "Bill" Weant, prominent western owner and horseman, is a visitor. He arrived from Narragansett Park to look over the Metropolitan racing scene. En Masse, winner of the closing race on Thursday, was claimed by Charles Irby for ,500. This was the second claim in as many days by Irby, he having taken Invermark for the same amount the previous day.
