IVORY TIP, well up from the start and on the inside for a half mile, raced to VIAJERO fast after reaching the stretch, withstood strong pressure gamely to the final eighth and outflnished VIAJERO at the end. The latter, away fast and showing the most speed, came out after reaching the stretch and also held on with good courage, but was not quite good enough. BRITISH TAN, away slowly and racing sluggishly for five-eighths, came strongly thereafter. FRONTIER tired in the final quarter. RADIO HOUR had no mishaps. BAY MEMOR. away first and never a great distance back, stood pressure gamely while getting through on the inside in the final quarter and, wearing down LO, appeared ready to draw out. LO, receiving a hustling ride and having speed rom the start, came out in the stretch and held on with good courage to the end. HIGH POCKETS was moving up when caught in close quarters in the stretch and, after getting clear, finished fast. TAIPAN had speed from the start, lost much ground and gave way slowly in the drive. BATTING EYE could not get up. LADY ROCKLEDGE pulled up lame. FRIEND JOHN quit. FULL UP showed a poor effort. STIMULATOR and OTTERROP also pulled up lame. INSCRIPTION, greatly aided by fine handling and beginning well, was under steady restraint for almost a half mile, raced to MOLL gradually and tired in the late stages, but the winners rider outrode MOLLS rider when it came to a finish. MOLL, probably best and also away fast, took command quickly, was shaken up enterinc the stretch, stumbled slightly as she relinquished the lead, rallied after recovering and, under stronger riding near the end, might have oulfinished the. winner. LE MISERABLE saved ground wherever possible and closed well in his good effort. CATCHALL raced wide, was under stout pressure after three-eighths, but could not reach the leaders and failed to withstand LE MISERABLE. LUGEN LUGGAGE, on the inside throughout, tired in the final eighth. MAREVE failed to keep up. HIGH DIVER, saving ground for three-quarters and well in hand until reaching the last three-eighths, was forced out for room in the stretch and closed resolutely under strong handling. BOILING POINT, slightly impeded by MARGARET G. on the first turn but recovering quickly, was much used in alternating with CARNELIAN in forcing the pace, gained a short lead under strong riding and gave way when the final test came. AMIJO went well. CARNELIAN. raced wide throughout, tired after showing speed to the stretch. MALIMOU was outrun. GOLDEN NUT showed nothing.
