OAKLAWN PARK STATISTICS Blue Ridge Farm Takes Major Share of Prizes. Hot Springs Stages Highly Successful Thirty-Day Meeting Eastport Leading Money Winner. Oaklawn Park enjoyed the most successful season in its recent history during the March 1-April 3 period when the Oaklawn Park Jockey Club staged thirty days of racing. Two hundred and twenty-four races, headed by the Arkansas Derby, were run; 44,080 distributed and seventy-five favorites made good. The daily average distribution amounted to ,802.67. ; The Blue Ridge Farm, Chicago-owned stable, carried off the major share of the prize money, winning nine races and ,025. Despite the victory of Eastport in the Derby, the richest race of the meeting, the string of Mrs. V. Wyse, was forced to take third honors in the money winning line to the ;BIue Ridge Farm outfit, the Wyse horses earning ,280, which C. N. Finchs horse topped with ,725, taking the second spot in the standing. Eastport was the"leading money winning equine with ,030, his one and only victory occurring in the Derby. Paul Ryan headed the riders list with twenty-six winners for the good average of .22.
