PROGRAM OF PLATER RACES Claiming Clause Attached to Entire Card at Arlington Downs. Soaring Witch Scores Third Victory of Career In Best Race Jockey Ved-der Scores Double. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 20 Soaring Witch, Oklahoma-bred Witchmount gelding, which races for P. G. Orr, chalked up his third victory and the most important of his short career, when he accounted for the Trinity Park Claiming Purse, fourth and one of the best events of an all-claiming race program offered under unsettled weather and before a fair-sized crowd at Arlington Downs this afternoon. Speeding the four and one-half furlongs over a track Jeft in a good condition after a hard early rain this morning, and through a light shower in :55, the Orr horse reached the finish two and one-half lengths before Arthur McKnights Sister Polly. Glenpool, owned by R. L. Oldham, was third, a length and a half farther back and three lengths before Kizzy D., which was well before the others. Although unable to match strides with the speedy Glenpool, which sprinted into a good lead during the opening three-sixteenths. Soaring Witch, which was completing a double for R. L. Vedder, was greatly benefited when Glenpool swung wide at the stretch and Vedder sent him to the inside. WINNER DRAWS AWAY. Taking command soon afterward. Soaring Witch rapidly drew away from his opponents, and Vedder had him under a strong hold when he reached the finish. After reaching the final furlong Glenpool gave way steadily, and Sister Polly, which was always best of the others, moved into second place and, although she failed to threaten the winner, she was easily best of the others. Standard Time, which was well-admired, was always far back and showed nothing to justify his support. In the opening race Troubadora lasted to head Think Fast at the end of six furlongs, for her first victory, and returned 02.90 for each straight. Saxlen was third, a nose back of the fast-finishing Think Fast and a head before Grimaldi. Never far back while Jack o Spades. Grimaldi and High Mabel dominated the pace, the winner improved her position rapidly after three furlongs, but she swung wide entering the stretch and was not straightened until well inside the final furlong. Steadily wearing Grimaldi down, she forged to the front in the last forty yards, but Saxlen and Think Fast were making their belated charges, and they were gaining on her at the end. In the second race Miss Flicker, Flight of Gold, Time Ball and Molly Greenock, reached the end less than a length apart. Miss Flicker, which held the lead throughout, was a neck before Flight of Gold, Time Ball and Molly Greenock, which were noses apart. But for lugging to the inside in the stretch, Flight of Gold probably wc-uld have reversed the finish. During the run to the final furlong, Gay Bill and Emery raced head and head with the winner, but responding to Vedders strong handling;
