r- - I PARADE OF FAMOUS GELD- I INGS AT KEENELAND i LEXINGTON, Ky., April 20. Great interest was displayed by Keenelands patrons today in the show of famous geldings, six of which were paraded before the first race with the colors up. Merrick, because of his advanced age of thirty-four years, was displayed only at the paddock. Sarazen wore the colors of the late Mrs. Graham Fair Vanderbilt and was ridden by Harry Stutts, Mike Hall was ridden by Leo Cargile in the H. P. Headley silks, Fred Harrell, in a J. E. Widener jacket, was up on Osmand, while Jolly Roger and Cherry Pie, the Grecntree Stable horses, were handled by Carl Miller and Nate Lewis. Clyde Van Dusens silks were worn by B. F. Scheffel on the gelding named for the trainer and former jockey. The crowd was swelled by numerous cameramen and photographers, who came out especially to record the display of the famous geldings, which collectively earned 61,280 in their careers and such races as the Kentucky Derby, International Special, Grand National Steeplechase, Metropolitan Handicap, Agua Caliento Handicap and Fairmount Derby.
