TROUBADORA, fractious but away fastest, was unable to keep up, raced wide while improving hef position, bore out entering the stretch, came fast when straightened and outfinished THINK FAST. The latter, away slowly and unable to improve its early position, responded rapidly when steered to the outside in the stretch and finished strongest. SAXLEN, probably the best but away very, slowly, improved its position through the field and closed with a rush. GRIMALDI disposed of JACK O SPADES after five-sixteenths, drew clear rapidly, but tired near the end. HIGH MABEL tired. BILLY MOLE tired after reaching contention. BLAZE DOR was outrun. MISS FLICKER hustled to the front, was unable to draw clear, saved ground throughout and withstood FLIGHT OF GOLD. The latter worked its way forward through the field, was inclined to lug to the inside in the stretch, came, fast when straightened and was wearing the winner down at the end. TIME BALL improved its position steadily, was slightly impeded in the drive and came fast when clear; MOLLY GREENOCK was shulfled back at the far turn, came again when clear, but tired near the end. EMERY, a strong factor from the start and on the outside, tired after reaching the final eighth. SWIFTY made up ground. GAY BILL quit. ERB, lucky to find room on the inside, forged to the front after reaching the stretch, but failed to withstand the winner. ROUGH CREEK, well up from the start, tired after a half mile. AVATCH-FULLY worked, its way forward under strong urging and finished well. HOWARD G. made up ground. PLEASING COLOR tired. SPRINGS HERE quit. QUINDARO failed to keep up.
