1 HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES f and Edward J. Brennan, who will servo as manager during the meeting at Agawam Park, returned here after a visit to the Springfield, Mass., track over the week-end. G. -R. Bryson has engaged jockey Joe Wagner to handle E. K. Brysons Calumet Dick In the Dixie Handicap. Trainer R. E. Potts plans to divide the Bomar Stable into two sections at the close of the Havre de Grace meeting. Apprentice M. Sarno, under contract to George Phillips, has leased his services to Mrs. M. H. Charles, who will race a useful string of horses on New England tracks during the summer. Sarno will be affiliated, with the New England stable until August 1. Mike Grant, who reported the arrival of a colt foal by Canter Lady Zeus a few day3 ago, stated that the yearling died late Monday. The sum of 2,800 has been paid for the thirteen horses that have changed hands via the claiming route at Havre de Grace since the meeting, opened. P. A. Markey, part owner of the Eomar Stable, who contemplated a visit to- Havre de Grace with C. B. Bohn to inspect the stable in charge of R. E. Potts, has altered his plans and will defer his trip until he recovers from a heavy cold. J. B. Bond disposed of the plater Timber Phantom to C. S. Sturm for a consideration that was not made public. Trainer Joe Gorga, who is handling a public stable at this point, will ship eight of his charges to Narragansett Park on Sunday. Jockey J. Renick, who sustained injuries in sf fall in Florida, is expected to arrive on Saturday. Renick has fully recovered from his injuries and expects to go into action at Pimlico. Apprentice Mike Sarno plans to leave for Jamaica after the racing here on Saturday. He has been engaged to ride at that point on Monday and will later go to New England. Trainer R. Potts, of the Bomar Stable, reports that Siam, which won here Tuesday, will bo started in the Chesapeake on Saturday. The colts performance in the Chesapeake will determine whether he will be sent to fulfill his engagement in the Derby. He is also eligible for the Preakness. Potts reports that the stables Yellow Tulip, which struck himself in a race in Florida, has responded to treatment and is going through his training moves satisfactorily at Pimlico. Grand Slam, which has been turned out at Keeneland Stud because of a foot ailment, is also recovered and will rejoin the stable on May 15.
