WEBB EVERETT TO ACT AT DETROITS SPRING MEETING LOS ANGELES, Calif., April 21. Webb Everett, popular racing secretary at Santa Anita, has decided to act in the same capacity at Detroits spring meeting, opening May 28. Whether he will serve during the fall meeting at the Motor City has not yet been decided. Everett has planned to accompany general manager Charles Strub on a tour of the eastern tracks during the late summer and fall. They will explain the Santa Anita race program for next winter-to the horsemen and will accept nominations for the Santa Anita Handicap, Derby, and other rich stakes events. Everett and Strub plan to visit Saratoga, Chicago, New York, New England, Maryland and Kentucky circuit tracks before returning late next fall to prepare for the fourth season of sport at Arcadia.
