BOOKING HEARING ON MAY 17 Circuit Judge Harry M. Wisher on Friday set May 17 for hearing of the quo warranto suit filed by the state of Illinois questioning the authority of the city of Chicago to pass the recent licensing ordinance for pari-mu-tuel bookmakers. The date for the hearing was set at the request of Attorney-General Kerner, who appeared personally, and Assistant Corporation Counsel Walter V. Schaeffer, representing the city.
