LEXINGTON, Ky., April 22 The next engagement on the schedule for the Oddesa Farms undefeated two-year-old filly, Oddesa Beulah, will be in the ,500 added Lafayette Stakes, which comes up for decision at Keeneland on the eve of the close of the season, according to trainer C. Hyde Smith. The speedy chestnut daughter of Wise Counsellor Infinette has been to the starting gate six times during her brief racing career, and has not tested the bitterness of defeat as yet. Oddesa Beulah is rated as one of the top-notch juvenile developments of winter racing, having embarked on her career at Hia-leah Park, in Florida, where the filly annexed two races, then moved to Oaklawn Park, at Hot Springs, to add three more successes to her credit. In her first and only outing at Keeneland, Oddesa Beulah beat a good field of youngsters. .In view of her perfect record, Oddesa Beulah looms as the favorite for the Lafayette Stakes, in which the daughter of Wise Counsellor will engage the "sternest opposition that she has confronted thus far in her brief career. t The Lafayette Stakes closed with a total of sixty-three nominations, including all of the best of the juveniles in the Blue Grass section, and is one pf. the most attractive of the stakes offered on the spring program of the Keeneland Association.
