1 BAY MEADOWS NOTES j and David J. Carson, prominent Los Angeles sportsman, had his first view of his Mar-rajo and Testa in action when they went postward in their respective races Thursday. The pair arrived recently from Agua Cal-iente in charge of trainer E. C. Campbell. Another shipment headed for Boston when A. Warner loaded High Voltage, Infinata and Sage Leaf for Suffolk Downs. The trio will make the trip by freight. Trainer F. J. Estes reports the plater San Lu is dangerously ill, having contracted pneumonia after filling his last engagement. The long-looked-for shipment of the Blue Moon Stable horses of Howard Hawks rolled into the unloading platform at Tanforan Thursday morning after an uneventful trip. There were ten in the consignment in charge of stable foreman Charlie Craig. Among those which came from Santa Anita were iWarfellow, Come to Taw, Orthodox, Mar-finn, Speed Home, Reset, Scenario, Bone Black and Potlatch. Trainer Jimmy Smith is due to arrive Friday, having left Los Angeles Thursday morning. Among the shipments from Bay Meadows to Tanforan Thursday were the horses of Mrs. C. B. Irwin and Mrs. V. R. Hopper. The Jrwin string consisted of Pitter Pat, Better Bet, Fleet Girl, Edgar Boy and Wyoming Daisy. The distance performer, Pulis, which has been turned out all winter, is expected to be brought in from Pleasanton and returned to training. The Hopper consignment comprised three head, Pharloch, Supply Man and Sir Windsor. C. E. "Boots" Durnell, in charge of a large public stable, sent five of his charges in advance while the remainder of the string will be kept at Bay Meadows until the termination of the meeting here. Those which Durnell sent were: Ready Teddy, Eddie Wrack, Flying Zac, Best Port and one other.
