BAKER STRING QUARTERED .AT RIVER DOWNS CINCINNATI, Ohio, April 22. The G. C. Baker string arrived here several days ago and consists of fifteen thoroughbreds, six juveniles and nine older horses. Among the j older performers is the good six-year-old gelding Yantis, which is likely to cut a figure in the main races offered during the meeting. The good sprinter Ginocchio, two good three-year-olds De Coursy and Janice; Cherokee Red, Glowset, Kentucky Jane and Sis Quin-lan complete the older list. The youngsters, all of which were broken and received their preliminary training even to the point of schooling from an improvised gate at the Baker farm in Tennessee, include the following: Litton Hickman, b. c, by Bostonian Jane Williamson; Black Bass, br. c, by Justice F. Catherine Stuart; Broadus, ch. c, by Justice F. Peggy Lohmann; Helen Mac, b. f, by Rolls Royce Dangerillo; Norkie, ch. f, by Fair Wind Helen Bond, and McAllister, ch. c, by Greenock Victoire. Broadus is believed by Baker to be the best of the juveniles, but the others also have shown fine speed in preliminary trials at the Baker farm this spring.
