ARRIVALS AT RIVER DOWNS Majority Coming From Tropical Park and Hot Springs, Ark. Sand Being Added to Track. CINCINNATI, Ohio, April 22. There is plenty of activity , these bright spring mornings at the River Downs race track, -which is located on the banks of the Ohio. River at Cincinnati, Ohio. Hundreds of horses are being unloaded at the track every day. Most of these are coming in from Tropical Park and Oaklawn Park, while several stables came in from Maryland and Kentucky. -It is believed that the demand for stable room will far exceed the number of stalls available. Track superintendent J. O. Brown is working overtime these days trying to find room for the many owners who are planning to race their charges at the River Downs course this spring. In addition to taking care of the stable reservations, Brown also is supervising the job of working the track into first class condition. The 700 yards of sand that Brown put on the track last winter, has worked in with the old soil nicely and it is believed that the River Downs track will resemble the one of three years ago, over which tho great sprinter Clang, set a new worlds record of 1:09 for six furlongs.
