SIMMS INGLEW00D STRING Texans Stable Numbers Eleven Head for New Track Campaign. Huskle Boy, Attacked by Shipping Fever, Is Recovering — Rested After Florida Campaign. INGLEWOOD, Calif., May 25.— Headed by Multimillion and Huskie Boy, the eleven horse stable of W. C. Stroube, Corsicana, Texas, sportsman, arrived at Hollywood Park, Inglewood, Monday, all set for the initial thirty-three day summer meeting which begins June 10. Huskie Boy, three-year-old son of Bull Dog and a crack sprinter, came down with shipping fever on the long trip, but his condition is improving rapidly, trainer Mickey Harris disclosed. The stable campaigned in Florida during the winter and was then shipped to Arlington Downs, Texas, for a brief respite. Included in the shipment were Huskie Boy, Multimillion, Digitalis, First Date, Beau Doon, Pit Terrier, Kenty Miss, Skiing, Co-high, Huskie Queen and Sir Asia. The latter is a two-year-old son of Sir Gallahad III. and a blood relation to Gallant Fox and Fighting Fox. Bay Bubble, Stroubes best race mare, was 1 left at the farm in Corsicana, where she was mated to Liberty Limited, T. P. Morgans recently-purchased stallion. FAIRMOUNT STABLE ARRIVES. The Fairmount Stable, nom de course of i Coffman and Patterson, Palm Springs business men, shipped in with thirteen head. Several well-bred juveniles were included in the string, most of them unraced. Penchen, Penador and Bubbling Queen, i three-year-olds; Easter Parade and Bonnie ! Marita, eight-year-olds, and eight two-year-olds comprised the shipment in charge of trainer L. F. OLeary. The juveniles were Forty-Four, Frank O., Bubbling Boy, Carnival Girl, Saucy Bubble, Fair Blonde, Bubbling Cargo and Bubbling Spray. Announcement was made today by M. H. I Morrison, racing secretary, that Howard j Hawks, film director and owner of the j successful Blue Moon Stable, has purchased : the good three-year-old handicap racer, I Gov. Chandler. Hawks, in Kentucky for the Derby, bought the gelded son of Reigh Count — j Saucy Sue from J. C. Metz. Gov. Chandler, named for the chief executive of the Blue i Grass State, will be a big addition to Hawks stable, which already includes the topnotch thoroughbreds Warfellow and Come to Taw.
