i DELIBERATOR WINS ANOTHER Carries 126 Pounds to Victory in Joseph Tomasello Handicap. Huge Mid-Week Gathering Witnesses Suffolk Downs Program — E. R. Bradleys Bootless Wins Secondary Attraction. BOSTON, Mass., May 25.— Before a crowd of 15,700, which turned out for the mid- I i week holiday, the Everglades Stables De-liberator accounted for the ,000 added Joseph Tomasello Handicap, feature of the days program in the good time of 1:11. At the end of the six furlongs the son of Wise Counsellor was a half length in front of Zoic, which held a neck advantage over Clocks. 1 The winner was under a drive by jockey Wayne Wright, who came here with the horse especially for the race and, in the stretch, to overpower Clocks and Zoic which i gave him trouble all the way. The time was , the fastest of the meeting over the Suffolk course. Although the winner was under pressure at the end, there was no doubt of his superiority over the field he faced here today. The time of his race, compared to his effort in winning the Toboggan Handicap last out, both races being clocked in 1:11. TAKES EARLY LEAD. 1 ] Deliberator was away from the gate in front. Going down the back stretch, he held command, but Zoic and Clocks were moving ; into a challenge even in that part of the , i race. His victory stamped him as a sprinter I capable of doing right smart in almost any sort of company. The secondary feature of the days pro- gram, the Boston Press Handicap, went to E. R. Bradleys Bootless, which was scoring ] I his second consecutive victory of the meet- i | ing. The five-year-old son of Black Toney, a "hot tip" in his last out, scored by two I lengths over Mrs. E. Denemarks Finance, while that horse took the place money by two and a half over Mrs. S. Orrs Orinoco. The latter had a hot argument to the wire with Danny Sullivans Trina, finally earning a neck margin for the show. Prior to the race Trina unseated her rider, Henry Romaine, and galloped off about a quarter of a mile before she was caught. , i ■ A
