SPING BELL, racing forwardly placed from the start and saving ground to the stretch, had to take up and came to the outside of MISS FAWN inside the final eighth, then, closing gamely outfinished TABHER. The latter, away slowly, steadily worked its way forward between horses, closed with a rush through the final eighth and was going stoutly at the end. MISS FAWN shook off MAY SQUARE in the first quarter, drew clear rounding the turn. then, faltering in the final eighth, swerved in. PEARL TIPPED made up ground. GOANWIN worked its way through on the inside throughout, closed willingly through the stretch and outfinished COUNT BRUNO. The latter made up ground. JEALOUS SWAIN broke slowly then closed a good gap. SIMOSEE had brief speed. EILEEN D. quit badlv. LYONS NIGHT had speed for three eighths. BLAND HILLTOP, well handled, was rated back off the speedy pace the first turn of the field, worked its way forward on the outside the final five -eighth*, wore down the leaders going to the final fence and was going away at the finish. IDLE SOLDIER, steadied back off the pace for a mile, took command leaving the eighth obstacle, closed willingly, hut was unable to contend with the winners closing rush. SATIN ROCK, well placed throughout, fenced sideways at the last fence, lost ground, then closed stoutly. RURAL SHOWER made up ground. ROYAL RIVET had early speed. PEWTER CREST, away slowly, closed with a rush through the final quarter mile to outfinish FIRE REEL. The latter, a forward factor from the start, had no excuses.
