OMAHA MECCA FOR HORSEMEN Stables Arriving at Track in Ever Increasing Numbers. Track Superintendent Believes Capacity of Stables Will Be Taxed— California Consignment Arrives. OMAHA, Neb., May 25.— If stables for racing thoroughbreds could be equipped, like Pullman cars, with upper berths, Jim Ronin, Ak-Sar-Ben track superintendent, would be a happier man. His worries then about what to do with all of the horses entered to race here would not be so acute. "We have been able so far to accommodate most horses," Ronin said, "but at the speed they are rolling in now it is certain that the capacity of the stables will be taxed. Well take them as long as we can stable them because the more horses the better the races and the keener the competition." The thoroughbreds arrived in carload lots and by truck from half a dozen states Tuesday and more were scheduled to unload during the night. California led the big parade in numbers with a total of twenty-four horses, which have been competing at Bay Meadows and Tanforan. BRINGS EIGHTEEN. At the head of the list was L. W. Kidd, San Francisco, with eighteen in his shipment. These included American Emblem, Chief Pilot, Hu Car, Judge Pan, DOrla.
