THIRD DEGREE IN FAST TRIAL LOUISVILE, Ky., May 25.— Mrs. Payne Whitneys splendid young prospect, Third Degree, probable favorite for the ,000 added Bashford Manor Stakes, to be run at Churchill Downs Monday, was seen in another sparkling private effort when he breezed the five furlongs distance of that stake in 1:00% early today. Running over a fast track, the Greentree youngstei clicked off the first quarter in 1:23, three-eighths in :34%, and a half-mile in :47%. Eddie Arcaro comes here to pilot the son of Questionnaire in the closing day feature.
