] BEULAH PARK TURF NOTES | «. , Owing to the fact that the last two days of the Beulah Park meeting — Saturday and Monday — conflict with the first two days of the session at Ascot Park, and several officials serving at Beulah also are to be at Ascot, a number of alternations are to be made in the list of officials at the Grove City course. George R. Palmer, presiding steward, will be the starter for the last two days of the Beulah meeting, while W. C. "Bill" Daly goes to Ascot. Palmer is well qualified to serve as starter, since he was at Beulah in that capacity from 1928 to 1933. He now starts at Wilmington, Del., Dade Park, Sportsmans Park and other tracks. Sam Wainwright is already at Ascot, where he is in charge of stabling horses. B. H. "Brownie" Held opened the secretarys office at Ascot Wednesday morning and Tom I Brown is to leave Thursday to serve as pad-[ dock judge. For the last few days of the Beulah meeting Albert Taney and J. H. "Jack" Yerian are to act as patrol judges, supplanting Held and W. R. "Duke" Dahlstrom. Dahlstrom is to depart for the meeting at Lincoln Fields, Crete, 111. Tom Moran will act as clerk of scales for the last two days of the Beulah meeting, filling in for Herbert J. "Whitey" Kohl, who will be an associate steward at Ascot. E. J. Wood, color man at Beulah, will be in charge of the jockey quarters at Ascot until Moran arrives there Tuesday morning. George R. Palmer, presiding steward, will do the starting during the last two days of the Beulah meeting, replacing W. C. Daly, who will go to Ascot Park, at Akron, Ohio for the opening there on Saturday. E. J. Wood will be in charge of the jockey j quarters at Ascot for the first two days of the meeting, Saturday and Monday. Tom Moran will arrive Tuesday from Beulah Park to take over his customary duties as custodian of the jockey room. The Beulah Park stewards yesterday announced that the suspension of jockey Joe Sylvester will be lifted after Fridays races. Sylvester was originally suspended for the balance of the meeting, but will be permitted to ride the last two days here. T. B. Miller shipped to Omaha Wednesday. Apprentice R. Camp accompanied the stable to that point. ■
