MAGNOLIA CASH, never far back and on the outside, responded when placed to pressure in the stretch and got up in the closing strides. SILVER PALM, slow to beein, was between horses on the turn, was hard ridden the last quarter and just missed. TWINKLE FEET, quick to take command, was slightly in hand while making the pace, held on well to the last eighth and then tired. FIRM HAND followed the pace under a snug hold, was placed to pressure in the drive and gave way in the last eighth. DUCMISS was taken back going into the turn and never threatened thereafter. PINK POST, away fast, was taken in hand when slightly outrun, moved up on the inside when called •upon on the second turn, stood a stretch drive game and held ROUNDHEEL safe. The latter, outrun for five-eighths, moved up steadily thereafter and finished stoutly, but could not handle the winner. KENDAL GREEN, outrun early, improved his position rapidly on the outside on the second turn, made a bold challenge an eighth out and then held on fairly well. NERVOUS LADY, in hand for three-quarters, responded to urging thereafter but could not menace the leaders. SHOTEUR. in hand early, moved up stoutly on the second turn and then gave way. Y WESTERN RUN, reserved off the pare for three-quarters, began to move up thereafter, came to the outside for the drive and wore down REELAWAY in the closing strides. The latter made the pace under good rating, was briskly shaken up entering the stretch and held on well to the final sixteenth and then tired. GOLDEN PIGEON, well up from the beginning and in hand early, was placed to pressure on the stretch turn and held on fairly well in the drive. GOODBYE BLUES, in hand for five-eighths, was hard ridden [thereafter, but could not menace the leaders. SPANISH RED tired after showing good speed for three-quarters. JEWELRY, never far back and in hand for three-quarters, came to the outside for the drive and closed courageously under hard riding. JOHN TIO began to improve his position after five-eighths, responded to pressure in the final quarter and held on well. ANCELOT held his position under occasional light pressure, readily gave way to Jhe winner on the second turn and tired in the last eighth. EQUANIMITY was through after a half mile. The latter, never a great distance back and under light restraint to the stretch, closed boldly under pressure and might have been the winner in another stride or so. PIN MONEY, hustled into a contending position in the first quarter, took command on the turn without need of strong pressure, was hard ridden the last three-sixteenths and just failed to last.
