w — THREE ITALIAN HORSES NAMED PARIS, France.— Three Italian horses have been engaged in the Prix du President de la Republique, to be run on July 31 at St. Cloud. Since the War two English-bred horses, Pomme de Terre and Kircubbin, have won the race. The Belgians also took it with Prince Rose, who, I think, was also bred in England but sold as a foal. Nino by Clarissimus is the only horse during the same period to score in two successive years.
