I HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES f $ e R. W. Selden is getting away in a few days for Bay Meadows with the horses Herondas and Patrolite. He will be accompanied by apprentice Warren Van Tassel and they will be on hand for the Bay Meadows opening. Roscoe Goose will ship the horses he trains for Mr. and Mrs. John Marsch and others to Louisville. The string includes ICings Blue, Lightspur, Irvana, Egyptian Belle, Miss Baker, Weisenheimer, Silver Braid and Spanish Babe. Apprentice Nunzio Pariso will go. along with, the stable.. Goose said he plans to race several of the horses at Keeneland and, of course, will take part in the Churchill Downs fall session. Xen McNair today registered the horses he brought here for the Peacock Stable. The string includes Prince Sulieman, Bank Nite, Some Scout and Bravo Caruso, and they will remain through the Sportsmans Park season. Miss R. Seidell bought Happy Helen from H. H. Brown, who, however, will continue to train the horse. C. Nolan Bell got in from Detroit with Lis-towel and Mint Flavor. The horses are owned by the Bell Brothers. J. P. Sallee is getting away Tuesday for Lexington rrlth the horses he conditions for Thomas and T. C. Piatt. These going to Keeneland are Flip Flap, Dixie Girl, Lina Mac, Utica, Cornfield, Shawana, Plain View, Slavic, Miss Alert, Gay Jane and Unrequited. A. J. Suprenant has engaged Elmer Johnson to train Enagala in. the future. R. W. Selden formerly conditioned the horse.
