PARSCOUT raced in close pursuit of the pace from 1hc start under mild restraint, moved into command rounding the far iurn, disposed ot BUCKING and drew away at the end. MARS SHIELD was outrun in the early stages, improved her position when urged, responded in the stretch and finished well. BOOTLESS, on the inside in the early running and under mild restraint, was placed under pressure in the stretch run and made up ground slowly. EARLY SETTLER was kept close up the first part, but could not .menace the leaders at the end. ANNIBAL jumped well and was rated under steadying restraint, moved up after -going two miles -and assumed command to win under steady restraint. .RIOTER was sent into command at the .start, forced the pace, jumped well, but unseated rider at the eighteenth fence, was caught and remounted and finished within the time limit. BIRMINGHAM was rated back of the pace Tinder steady -restraint and was going strongly when he fell at the fourteenth fence. Ho did not finish the course inside the time limit. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE. COUNT .MORSE, in near pursuit of the pace from the start, saved ground, but hung under urging at the finish. PORTERS MITE displayed high speed -from the start, raced true for the greater part of the running, bore out slightly nearing the finish and, under extreme pressure, outlasted EIGHT THIRTY in the last strides. The latter came over to the inside after the break and, moving up fast, was placed under hard pressure in the final quarter mile to finish Jastest. THIRD DEGREE, a forward factor from the start and under hard urging, finished gamely. JOHNSTOWN, placed under steady restraint early, moved up when urged, but hung at the end. IMPOUND, on the inside from the start, made a determined bid and then finished well. TECHNICIAN was kept close to the early pace from the start and had no mishaps in the running. BENEFACTOR was close to the -pace in the early Tunning, but failed to maintain his position when roused. UP THE CREEK was outrun early and could not improve position. T. M. DORSETT had no mishaps in the running. OLNEY, away well and showing a flash of early speed, dropped back steadily and appeared unable to race in blinkers. GALLAPOL began slowly and was outrun.
