1 FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES $ : At private terms, M. D. Livingston purchased Big Broom from Mrs. W. Wilkerson, Jr. With the conclusion of racing here C. O. Ray will ship the contingent of the J. C. Ellis stable racing here to Dade Park at Henderson, Ky. Jockey E. Terhune accepted his first mount of the meeting when he rode Caleb in the first race Friday. E. E. Major, who is much improved in health since his recent operation at Evans-ville, Ind., arrived from his farm at Fort Scott, Kans., where he has been recuperating. It was learned this morning that J. Hudson, who will ship his public, stable to Sportsmans Park with the close of the meeting here, has leased the services of the promising young apprentice Earl Dew. The leasing of Dew from Lyman Reed, will take effect with the conclusion of racing here and will be held for the winter. Apprentice Don Manifold, contract rider for Mrs. E. B. Shipp, is leaving for his home in Kilgore, Neb., and report to his contract employer with the inauguration of the New Orleans racing season. Dr. E. C. Watson, the Mt. Vernon, Ohio, veterinary, is expected here within the nex few days. Termotime was claimed out of the fourth race Friday by J. Hoskins for ,250.
