PIMLICOS TWIN FEATURES Ritchie Handicap and Master of Fox Hounds Steeplechase Head Armistice Day Card. BALTIMORE, Md., Nov. 10. Heading the Maryland Jockey Clubs Armistice Day program at Pimlico tomorrow will be the Ritchie Handicap and Master of Fox Hounds Steeplechase, both of which have attracted good fields. The Ritchie, a six furlongs dash for a ,000-added purse, has drawn sixteen of the fastest horses in the country, of which The Fighter is top weight with 125 pounds. With clear weather again prevailing, the Pimlico track dried out steadily today and gave every indication that it would be in fast condition tomorrow. A continuance of clear skies should have the effect off bringing out one of the largest crowds of the meeting. Sixteen starters will give the Ritchie a gross value of ,000, of which the winners net share will be ,080. The Fighter will be coupled with Liberty Flight, as the W. E. and T. P. Morgan entry, and they will be given much of the publics support, along with the A. C. Compton pair of Sun Egret and Clingendaal, which have proven good winners at the meeting, the former capturing the Baltimore Autumn Handicap. The other well-known speedsters in the field include Rough Time, Mower, Accolade, Finance, Fair Knightess and Lady Maryland. Eight hunters are in the Master of Fox Hounds Steeplechase field, and they will be ridden over the three-mile course by amateur riders, The event has been an annual fixture since 1928 when Bridge was the winner. Later winners have been Marbro, Land Boy twice, Point Breeze, Anapolis twice, Wild Son, Soldiers Fate and Homesteader. Members of hunt clubs through the East are expected for the race, and numerous reservations for luncheons in both clubhouses have been made.
