BING BONG, away forwardly and racing prominently to force the early pace, responded stoutly to move to the front entering the stretch, was inclined to lug toward the inside and drew out steadily. CHANCE WATCH was well up from the start, saved ground on the stretch turn, then reached the winner, but faltered nearing the close. STABLE improved her position gradually and came willingly at the close. THE TROUT held a forward position, but was unable to menace in the late stages. GOLDEN CHIMES had good early speed, but tired when the real test came. SWISS GUARD raced well. MIGHTY BUSY was outrun. The others were held safe. LAST CHASE was eased back slightly midway of the back stretch for a breathing spell, responded readily when placed to a drive, raced into the lead under strong urging entering the stretch and outstayed SEA GULL. The latter was sent up on the inside of the pacemaker at the half-mile post, made strong bids- and fought it out gamely to the finish. WESTBROOKE raced on the outside and finished with good energy. FLY ME could not get clear while setting the pace and tired under punishment. FLYING MINT dropped back suddenly after reaching the back stretch, then failed to threaten seriously. WILFRID G., saved for the first turn of the field, went to the front at. the thirteenth fence, was ridden strongly in the last half mile while fencing well and outstayed PROMOTER. The latter dropped far out of contention for the first mile, moved forward going to the twelfth fence, reached the winner at the last jump and was gaining fast nearing the close while under severe punishment. COURT TIME landed badly at the ninth fence while racing strongly and recovered, but could not engage the leaders. BROADSIDE KING was unable to stay when caught. BALLINDERRY finished with good energy after losing ground. EBONY BLUE was a stout factor all the way. AMERICAN DAISY failed to better her position. BUYER BEWARE was taken up at the break and lost ground after getting into stride. ARGELLA showed early speed. REDLIN was ridden hard and had no excuses. SPOT NEWS fell back earlv. CRAVAT dropped back, badly after the start, trailed his field for seven-eighths, then drove through on the inside in the last quarter mile to finish with a bold rush. CANRON. MR. CANRON was rated nicely, bettered his position willingly when placed to punishment, then came through on the inside of the winner and fought it out determinedly. COUNT ARTHUR wore down FLAT LANCE between calls after leaving the half-mile post, but hung under a "vigorous drive. JOLLY TAR broke from outside of the stalls and. closed an immense gap. FLAT LANCE was steadied until challenged, but could not stay. REGAL LILY raced poorly. ROSERETTER was never able to improve her position. SIR JIM JAMES quit. HYPOCRITE quit badly. TRINA, going strongly in the early racing, moved up on the inside of LA ROSE, went to the front on the final turn, then was shaken up stoutly to stall off INVERMARK. The latter worked his way into contention steadily and finished with good WHICHAWAY, slow courage. a beginner, closed full of run after being slow- to settle in stride. LA ROSE was taken to the front early, but could not stay when placed to a drive. THE QUEEN had no excuses. WATERSPLASH raced in spots. OLD JAKE was never a threat SIAM raced wide.
