RIDDLE DECLINES INVITATION Advises Charles H. Strub, He Will Not Ship War Admiral to Santa Anita This Winter. ARCADIA, Calif., Nov. 10 Samuel D. Riddle has advised Dr. Charles H. Strub, head of Santa Anita, that War Admiral will not come to California this winter. In a letter to Strub, the master of Glen Riddle Farm expressed regret at his inability to yisit the Los Angeles track with his great thoroughbred and assigned as the reason the serious illness of his wife. "I told my wife about wanting to come to California," Riddle wrote, "and she asked me not to go." It is expected that Seabiscuit will be named for the Santa Anita Handicap, the worlds richest race, as well as several other rich special events on the Santa Anita program; Nominations for. the 00,000 event close December 1 and weights are due December 15.
