! , J I TBAY MEADOWS TURF NOTES I i Al Morgan, who will be a member of the official family at the impending Agua Caliente meeting, departed this morning for the border course. JLon Giboney, conditioner for the Klip-stein, Owen and Giboney establishment, has I arranged to transfer the eight under his I care to Tanforan the latter part of the week. Apprentice Ralph Placinto, under contract to Ross Cooper, has been leased to former jockey Willie Molter, vho sent his horses to Agua Caliente this morning. Molter had a consignment of six horses from this region and plans to pick up two yearlings at the Norman W. Church, ranch near San Jose, which he will take along to the Mexican course. Trainer J. W. Clark, who has charge of the horses of J. Pelter, has taken over the mare, Berenda, which he will train for Miss M. Li. Berkovich. Earl Simpson is another who has shipped to Agua Caliente, having sent his stable there in charge of trainer C. V. Bussey. Judge George W. Schilling, who is serving as presiding steward at Bay Meadows, will serve in the same capacity at the impending Agua Caliente meeting. The popular racing official will get away Sunday for Southern California. R. P. Hewitt has taken over the training of the plater, Bels Beau, for W. A. Thompson. He replaces W. Sperling. W. Hookum was an arrival from British Columbia with Weeping Waters, Before and Last Act. All are distance horses which raced well in the Northwest during the summer. Julius Wild has engaged jockey A. Siler to ride Pala Chief in the Worlds Fair Handicap Saturday. James Donovan, who will do the starting at the Caliente meeting, will leave for that track Monday. Donovan has been serving as patrol judge at Bay Meadows. Hart Nesbit arrived from his home at Pomona and resumed his training activities of horses he has at Bay Meadows. Trainer E. C. "Shanty" Sutton has changed his plans about shipping to Agua Caliente and instead will assemble a string to campaign at Santa Anita. Sutton outshook six other horsemen who had filed claims for the horse Abdicator, winner of the sixth race 1 Tuesday. Abdicator will race in the interests of E. Bamberger. Apprentice Jack Robertson is progressing rapidly to recovery from the injuries he suffered in a fall here during the early part of the meeting. Robertson has been able to take exercise for the past few days and his physician has given permission to allow the youngster to have visitors. The five horses James F. Waters of San Francisco purchased in the Argentine have been transferred from Ventura to the Tanforan race track. The quintet, consisting of Puro Vino, Betibat, Desa Feuro, Falerno and. Palamar, are fine-looking individuals and are well-advanced in their training for future engagements. Miss Chase, three-year-old daughter of Ladkin Lady Chase recently purchased by Tim Sexton, has been turned over to trainer Frank Sharkey, who will direct her conditioning. Jimmy Sinnott, among the top-notchers during his riding career a few decades back, is an arrival from Chicago. Sinnott plans to remain on the Coast for the winter and will probably acquire some horses to race on the California circuit. Jockey Willie Robertson, who has been inactive for a few months, is indulging in some strenuous roadwork in preparation for his return to the saddle. Robertson will probably don the colors the latter part of the week.
