SMILING PRINCE, reserved off the early pace, began to move up on the outside after three-quarters, responded to strong pressure in the last quarter and was up in the closing strides. BLAZING SUN made the pace under good rating, was hard ridden in the last five-sixteenths and held on gamely, but vas not good enough. GLOWSET, under strong restraint for five-eighths, held on well thereafter under vigorous handling. MIGAL FAY, in hand for three-quarters, was hard ridden thereafter and tired. FAST ROAMER had no excuses. DEAR ME was badly outrun throughout. BIOGRAPHY tired after five-eighths. VALDINA, never a great distance back, was vigorously handled after three-eighths and closed well. MISS WEBB, outrun for three-eighths, made up ground thereafter under pressure. ON A BOY was taken up sharply when blocked going into the turn and never recovered. HENRY M. tired in the last quarter. SIR QUEST gave way suddenly after showing good speed for a half mile. BRIGHT LAND, a sharp factor from the beginning and able to save ground, responded to pressure in the drive and was up in the last sixteenth. KINGSHIGHWAY, never far back and in hand for three-eighths, rallied when shaken up thereafter and closed gamely. BUCKS IMAGE had good speed from the beginning, held on well to the last eighth and then tired. CATSWEEP, steadied along for three-eighths, moved up gradually thereafter. WILD BLONDE, fractious at the post and away poorly, was rushed into a contending position and then tired in the drive. MURIELLYNN raced wide. FIRING, slow to begin, was outrun for a half mile and made up some ground thereafter. SIR MICHAEL lacked speed and failed to rally when called upon. JOHN MARCUM quit after a half mile.
