! FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES I s : G. Ray Bryson has been confined to his apartment for the past few days with a severe cold. There are only four horses on starter John Morrisseys schooling list at present. The quartet includes Knave, War Jest, Bos- Sound and Pakala. Iton Mose Goldblatt, veteran Cincinnati turf-man, left for his home in the Queen City i to spend the holidays, but before making his departure shipped Black Buddy, Dnieper and Dr. Menendez to Hialeah Park, where they will be raced for the remainder of the winter. W. "Dick" Westmoreland, who has the veteran sprinter, Jadaan, here in charge of Charles Januska, has been released from the hospital, where he underwent a major op- ; eration, and is expected to arrive in New j Orleans after the new year. i H. A. Allen, Texas breeder, came in from Dallas and reported that Bride o the Wind is in foal to Liberty Limited. The three horses Lou Pierce had stabled outside the grounds in the vicinity of Jefferson Park have been moved into the Fair Grounds. k The horses owned by Mrs. J. Guarneri are being offered for sale. The outfit includes Pandonna, Levi Cooke and Baby Joe,
