1 SANTA ANITA TURF N0TES ; Don Roberto, the California giant, has checked in at Santa Anita Park for what will be his last season of ilat racing. The big son of Manager Waite, one of the best of the home-breds when at the height of his form, will be put over the jumps and raced through the field following this winter season. Tony Pelleteri arrived from New Orleans to take charge of his large stable here. Tommy Griffin reports that the good mare Frimulus is going sound again following her long rest since the Hollywood Park meeting last summer. Griffin plans to get her to top form and take a shot at humbling the great eastern mares Marica and Esposa.
