PATE TO QUIT DAVIS TEAM NEW YORK, N. Y., Dec. 24. The American Davis Cup team has received another setback when it became known that Capt. Walter Pate would likely be missing from the lineup next summer. Pate has petitioned President Ward of the U. S. L. T. A. to appoint a new captain so that he may return to his law practice.-
