"CONSIDERS 13. LUCKY NUMBER NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 24. Numb6r thirteen may. be unlucky to some, but Jake Levitts Broadkill certainly is nqt the one where the jinx number applies. Racing secretary Dick Leigh, in going over the records, discovered that Broadkill, winner of all three of. his starts at the Fair Grounds this season, made his first appearance under colors here on December 13 and won, on the thirteenth day of -the-current meeting. He again stepped out and won; was No. 13 in the overnight entries last Saturday, but got into the race when two others were withdrawn and again he-scored. Another unusual happening concerning Broadkill is that his post position has been No. 11 in each and every one of his starts. Theres no doubting that 13 and 11 are the- four-year-old bay geldings lucky figures. . .
