9 3 -YEAR-OLDS RECORD POOR NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 24 Only three times in the history of the New Years Handicap, oldest stakes fixture on the Louisiana Jockey Clubs program has a three-year-old celebrated his birthday by an-, nexing the major honors in this event. Members of the older division have predominated, since 1918, the year that the contest was inaugurated. The three-year-olds which have come through to gain the glory were Calcutta, which scored for G. R. Allen in 1923, the Greentree Stables Nurmi in 1926 and Mrs. John Zoellers Tatanne in 1934.
