ESPINACA was stoutly handled to keep within striking distances of the leaders, then finished willingly while dropping back between horses in the last eighth. GOLDEN X. improved his position on the outside and closed strongly. FINDON was shuffled back early and never reached contention. ANCIENT ROME showed a good effort for seven-eighths, then tired.
