Skipper Z. Earns Purse At Beulah Park Course Score in RKO Palace Theatre Purse Second Win of Meeting . COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 18 Closing with rare courage on the outside during the stretch run, D. B. Midkiffs Skipper Z. registered his second success of the Beulah Park meeting when he accounted for the RKO Palace Theater Purse, sixth offering this afternoon. Arnolds Actor and Roaming Again divided the minor portions of the purse. Arnolds Actor, Skipper Z. and Roaming Again entered the stretch in this order, racing closely lapped, but the Midkif L col-orbearer proved the gamest when the final test came and won going away. The winner ruled favorite and his victory was popular. At the conclusion of this race, two of the usherettes from the Palace Theater presented their trophy to B. S. Littrell, trainer of Skipper Z. - Despite the threatening condition of the weather, the attendance was of average proportions for an off day. The racing was staged over a fast track and was decidedly interesting, featured by numerous keen stretch struggles, culminating in rousing finishes. Bychance, Henry M. and Meanwhile all came from behind during the run home, just getting up in the closing stages to earn victories in their respective races. Noajean led practically throughout in the third event, but barely lasted to earn a close verdict.
