Illinois News and Notes LINCOLN FIELDS, Crete, 111., May 18. Included among other early arrivals were the stables trained by Jake Lowen-stein, J. P. Sallee, G. E. Lewis, E. E. Irby, H. T. Bray, C. E. Dale,- Clyde Troutt, R. T. Runnels, W. Covington, Gus Simone, C. C. Norman, Milton Rieser, Roy Selden, E. E. Major, Robert McGarvey, Frank Grand, Stanley Devore, Thomas Root and William Crump. Several of these horsemen unloaded their thoroughbreds at Washington Park. The stable of T. P. Morgan, of Texas, which is trained by Dave Womeldorff, numbers nine head. The horses which are stabled at Washington Park are Liberty Flick, Liberty B., Hygros Man, Hy Kerry, Hy Shock, Hy Trite, Lady Liberty, Camp Liberty and Sun Alexandria. The horses were shipped here from Narragansett Park. Apprentice Lawrence Barney will do the light riding for the Morgan stable. Trainer Willie Buck checked in at Washington Park with a public stable from California. The stable consists of seven horses, Royal Risk, Tipcat, Jodas Joe, Little Gallant, War Bolt, Valnora and Don Arrezo, the last named races in the interest of John D. Spreckels m. Jockey J. W. Frye accompanied the stable and will do their riding. The three horses Suspicion, Pliddock and Jolito, the property of F. G. Youngberry, were unloaded at Washington Park from Oregon. The Youngberry horses are being conditioned by trainer M. Cobault. The Phil T. Chinn stable, which numbers six head, have been unloaded at Washington Park. The horses which are trained by H. S. Short are Veiled Lace, Zacs Gal, : Klondike, Bit of Nerve, Sir Islam and Army I Life. They were shipped here from Lex- j ington, Ky. ; The horses who belong to Mrs. J. C. Alex-ander were recent arrivals at Washington Park. The stable includes such horses as j Some Count, Episet, Mr. Mais, Westerns Son and Alar. The Alexander horses are trained by S. Mattson. A. C. Russell who trains for Fred Turner, Jr., checked into Washington Park with the horses Lupie, Subdue, Don Devito, Gay Man, Top Miss and Prince Sang. The horses were shipped here from Havre de Grace. Another California stable to arrive at Washington Park within the last few days was that trained by Thomas Sherman. The stable, which consists of four horses, includes Candy Hero, Your Move, Night Raider and Tex Greenock. Owner and trainer R. H. McDaniel brought in the two horses Neddies Hero and Mulligatawney from Narragansett. LINCOLN FIELDS, Crete, 111., May 18. Roy Selden has the horses, Commentator and Fabens, at Washington Park. j J. P. Keezek moved the five horses in his stable over to Lincoln Fields. I Among interested Chicago patrons at Lincoln Fields this afternoon were R. J. Nash, part owner of the Shandon Stable; Mr. and Mrs. John Marsch, and Thomas C. Worden. The Marschs returned from a vacation at Hot Springs. Col. Daniel E. OSullivan, assistant to Col. Matt J. Winn, is recovering from a heavy cold and was able to be present for todays opening at Lincoln Fields. H. C. Ashby, track photographer at Lincoln Fields and other important tracks for many years, is ill in Louisville and his nephew has taken his place here. Trainer C. E. "Boots" Durnell added the three-year-old filly Shannon Belle to his large public stable. The filly was shipped here from Louisville, Ky. John D. Jackson, general manager of Arlington and Washington Parks, was out for -the days opening. Harry B. Lindenberger, Lincoln Fields placing judge, is suffering with neuritis but is holding down his position nevertheless. Charles W. Bid will, an executive at Hawthorne and Sportsmans Park, found time to take in the Lincoln Fields opening. A. J. Heffernan is leaving here next Monday for Omaha, where he serves in an executive capacity at Ak-Sar-Ben. William Cunningham, track timer and chief of the identification staff, arrived from Louisville. Dan Cataldo has taken over the training i-of Glorab for R. Florick. SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 18. H. M. Goldstein, acting in the interest of Lewin and Goldstein, sold the horse Deer-patch to.D. W. Gilkey. The horse was turned over to D. King to train and will be sent to Fairmount Park. Milton Terry, trainer of the horses owned byJSndovina and Terry, is sending the five-year-old gelding Vinum to Beulah Park, where he is nominated for the Governors Handicap. The horses Cackle Time, O. K. Mullen, Last Rose and Roidef, who belong to What-ley and Fogelson, have been shipped to Omaha. The horses are in the care of trainer T. Whatley. George Swain, whoacted as patrol judge here at Sportsmans Park, departed for Omaha, where he will take up the duties of paddock judge at Ak-Sar-Ben meeting, which gets under way May 26. Mrs. R. M. Chastain, who trains her own horses, has sent the two horses she had here to Fairmount Park. The horses are Snowcrystal and Our Laddie. Earlsboro and Very True, the property of Mrs. E. E. Renfrow, have been sent to Fair-mount Park.
